Privacy policy

Last updated: May 20, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Mock Interviewr.AI ("Mock Interviewr.AI," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use the Mock Interviewr.AI website, applications, and related services (the "Service"). Use of the Service is also governed by our Terms of Service.

1. Information we collect#

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information. Email address, authentication identifiers, and any profile details you provide.
  • Interview content. Job descriptions you paste, audio captured during a session, transcripts, AI-generated questions and feedback, and resulting scores.
  • Billing information. Subscription tier and billing history. Payment card details are handled directly by our payment processor and are not stored on our servers.
  • Device and usage data. IP address, browser type, device identifiers, language, referring URL, pages visited, session timestamps, and diagnostic logs.
  • Cookies and similar technologies. Used for authentication, preferences, and aggregate analytics. See the cookies section below.

2. How we use information#

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, secure, and maintain the Service;
  • Generate questions, transcripts, scores, and feedback during your interview sessions;
  • Process payments and manage subscriptions;
  • Communicate with you about your account, security alerts, updates, and support requests;
  • Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms;
  • Analyze aggregate usage to debug, measure quality, and improve the Service;
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our rights.

3. AI processing and model training#

The Service uses third-party large language models, speech-to-text, and text-to-speech providers to deliver core functionality. Your inputs and the Output generated may be transmitted to those providers solely for the purpose of producing your session results. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use identifiable user audio, transcripts, or job descriptions to train our own foundation models. Where third-party providers offer enterprise or no-training endpoints, we configure our integrations to opt out of provider-side model training to the extent commercially reasonable.

4. How we share information#

We share information only as described below:

  • Service providers. Hosting, storage, payment processing, transcription, language model inference, email delivery, error monitoring, and analytics vendors that process data on our behalf under contractual confidentiality and security obligations.
  • Legal and safety. When required by law, valid legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Mock Interviewr.AI, our users, or the public.
  • Corporate transactions. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to customary confidentiality protections.
  • With your direction. When you explicitly choose to share, export, or integrate your data with another party.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Cookies and analytics#

We use first-party cookies and similar technologies that are strictly necessary to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate usage. Where required by applicable law, we will request your consent before placing non-essential cookies and provide controls to manage your preferences.

6. Data retention#

We retain account information for as long as your account is active. Interview audio, transcripts, and scores are retained for the period needed to provide the Service and as described in your plan settings, after which they are deleted or anonymized on a rolling basis. We may retain limited records longer where necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.

7. Security#

We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, secret management, and monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.

8. Your rights#

Depending on your jurisdiction (including the EU/EEA, United Kingdom, California, and other U.S. states with comprehensive privacy laws), you may have rights to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you;
  • Request correction of inaccurate information;
  • Request deletion of your information;
  • Port your information to another service;
  • Object to or restrict certain processing, including processing based on legitimate interests;
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent (without affecting prior lawful processing);
  • Opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" of personal information as those terms are defined under applicable law (we do not sell or share for cross-context behavioral advertising);
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

To exercise these rights, please reach out through our contact page. We will verify your request and respond within the time period required by applicable law.

9. International data transfers#

We operate globally and may transfer, store, and process your information in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or other valid transfer mechanisms.

10. Children's privacy#

The Service is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or integrations operated by third parties. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy practices of any third party before sharing information with them.

12. Changes to this policy#

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide reasonable notice, such as by posting the updated policy with a new "Last updated" date or notifying you in-product. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
